Great seeing all the artifacts,however photos can't be taken. The museum is located in the centre of Hillsborough only cost one dollar if your grenadian not much more if your not,the woman on the door was very grumpy on our arrival but seem to perk up when we left and there is no fan or AC so the be prepared... 更多
The museum is small. There really isn't a lot there. If you go in, look around and leave, you could spend 5 minutes and wonder why anyone would rate it excellent. Opened late (island time!) so had to wait to get in. The woman running the space is the daughter of the local artist, musician, and boat builder showcased upstairs in the tiny gallery. There are a lot of Amerindian artifacts found from all over the island. This museum desperately needs funding and the artifacts really should be preserved properly!
I was fascinated with the collection of ancient ceramics and small sculptures, which had been dug up from a local site on the leaward side of the Island. This museum is small and had some interesting AmerIndian pottery and other artifacts which have been found during digs on Carriacou. It costs 5 EC per adult. The museum also has some good souvenirs to purchase.
This is a tiny little museum by museum standards but well worth a visit. I am interested in pottery so I was fascinated by the pottery pieces and other relics.
