This is our second trip to Cayman Brac, and our second dive on the Tibbits, and it did not disappoint. Lots of life and fish. Reef Divers are a great company to use for diving. I especially like their Valet diving.
We were on the Brac with 19 of our closest friends for a diving vacation and one of the sites we dove was this. The Russian wreck 356 or the MV Tibbetts is a great site! From the garden eels in the sand to the green sea turtle that came to check on us it was great! Plenty of penetration... 更多
This wreck is shallow enough, that one can expand their bottom time if they stay along the top portion of the ship. There is a reef nearby that can be incorporated in the dive if wreck diving doesn't interest you. We saw a turtle, southern rays and plenty of fish life on and near this really cool wreck.
Unusual to get this size wreck in pretty shallow water, so you can spend a long dive exploring. you can swim through various parts and/or go around the outside. We saw some turtles and rays around it... there are supposedly large grouper who hang inside, but we didn't see them. Watch your weight pockets if you go inside... easy to... 更多
Took the kids (12, 13) from Buccaneers cut out to the buoy. Easy to see from shore but had to keep the eyes out for the markets once swimming in the limited swell. It's a solid swim but the kids and I had no trouble. The nearest buoy marks the deck of the ship and it was easy to see... 更多
Great dive. Not a lot of wildlife, but the wreck was in good shape. Not too deep. Anchored off the bow and followed the buoy line down to the wreck. Visibility was excellent.
A very fun dive on an easy to swim wreck. Don't miss the life out in the sand. There is always a friendly Secretary Blenny on the front to take a picture of. Lots of life.
This is a great way to see the insides of a wreck without going inside it! Since the wreck split in two after a hurricane, you can see a lot more of it. Part of it lies in shallower water for great pictures. If you're so inclined, you can penetrate the wreck in a couple of areas but it is... 更多
This wreck varies in depth from less than 40 ft at the coning tower to over 100 ft near the bottom making it an enjoyable dive for many dive levels. Also, you can penetrate it in several places or not, depending on your skill level. We went out with the Brac Shack but I believe Brac Reef Resort also dives... 更多
