I am prejudiced as I volunteer at the Museum, but it is a great place and many people say so. We make many items right in the shop which helps to support the Museum and we also sell local made items or items of the Caribbean (Indians and other island's products)
definitely take a moment from shopping and eating to check into this museum. run by volunteers, the museum is nothing short of charming. You really could spend a couple hours there reading all the details they have in the cute mom and pop museum.
There is good coverage from Arawaks to modern times. Also, good information on past hurricanes and recovery processes. Lots of historical pieces dug up or recovered from the sea. Excellent use of an hour or two.
