This was a great place for site seeing and to snorkel around the pier. Enter the water from the steps by the road. Jumping or getting into the water from this pier is NOT permitted.
On the weekends lots of locals out fishing as well. And you can snorkel with the turtles IF you are a strong swimmer and know your way around ( avoid fishing lines by staying UNDER the pier )
Once we found the stairs, we spent some good time snorkling. We saw lots of beautiful fish, urchins and sea stars. We were to.do that the sea turtles usually hang out there, but we didn't see any that day.
Climb down the stairs along the jetty and snorkel your way out to the pier. Keep a watch out for Lobsters, puffer fish, eagle rays and more. At the start of the pier snorkel out amongst the pillars. It can be dark and a bit creepy. There's nothing to worry about except a few jellies. Keep a watch out for... 更多
Some of the locals mentioned that we should snorkel at Mosquito Pier and it was great. There is a place along the pier (before you get to the end) where you can park your car and take a few step down to get in the water. They have built a small wooden platform so you can get your gear on.... 更多
I've lived in Vieques now for over a year and a half and I have to say this is my favorite place/beach because you can jump into the deap sea and also snorkel in the shallow waters, do scuba diving and fish, watch out for sea turtles and amazing colorful fish everywhere when you paddleboard or just relax by the... 更多
Snorkling the pier was wonderful. It cost $15 in a taxi to drive there and back and we scheduled it so we didn't have to call again. The water is warm and calm and there are lots of people around to lend assistance. You will either need to book a tour or bring your own gear. Once there, there is... 更多
We brought our own snorkel equipment from the resort and parked along the middle of the road to the pier then swam about 1/2 up the pier and saw beautiful fish, coral and sea turtles.
