This beach is not swimable nor is it easily accessibly, however, the hike to the beach is absolutely beautiful and worth it. The owner of Gallery Galleon was nice enough to allow us to park our scooters in her lot until she closed at 5pm. You cannot drive or bike to this beach. The entrance is about 30 feet to... 更多
You'd better call it Playa Negra in order to let your taxi driver know, and he or she would dropped your off hwy 201 where you could hike around 20 min to get to the beach. The hiking was enjoyable and we even saw a wild horse family hanging around. The beach was so beautiful and the black sand was... 更多
I can't really review this beach - apparently it is difficult to get to - and only by walking can you reach it. We however went with the Esperanza Horse Riding Company and it was quite beautiful to go on. Great photo ops.
Not hard to find if you do your research before arriving. My boys had fun exploring the rocks around the beach. My son found the most beautiful shell. My husband enjoyed skipping the small rocks he found on the beach. The sand wasn't completely black while we were there. Lots of debris on the beach. Not a beach to sun... 更多
Unless you have a local helping you probably will not be able to find it - there is no signage telling you which random road to drive down.
We only went out there on our wonderful horseback ride - i don't think accessible otherwise. I guess pretty to look at, but nothing I would go back for.
Black Sand Beach was worth the effort to get to (its a bit of a trek from the road). We didn't spend long but were happy we went because of the unique black sand. Have been to other black sand beaches but this was the most dramatic example we have seen. Was hoping to see some of the horses roaming... 更多
This is a neat beach! A short hike and you will be on this really cool narrow beach. While I was there a group of horses came, visited, and posed for pictures only feet from my beach chair. Pretty secluded and not very crowded!
When we went we were the only ones on the beach. The sand is surprisingly soft under foot, and was worth visiting just to take a picture or two. Did you know the sand is also magnetic? So pretty!
