Even in our jeep, we could not navigate the road. The potholes were 4 feet deep. I ran ahead to see the beach but it was rough for snorkling so we turned around. We stopped at the closest beach Media Luna and got robbed. Not a good day at the beach! Our friends recommended the beach and it was pretty
First of all, it you don't have a jeep, you would have to walk to get to it, other car is not suitable to drive that path, you will ruin the car. The beach was beautiful. However it said no swimming, not sure why, everyone was swimming, so we did too. Water wasn't clear and BE AWARE of the robbers.... 更多
We had this beach to ourselves for most of the day! On the day we were there it was on the windy side so it was a bit rough but there was plenty to do. Cliffs to the left side kept my son busy and my daughter likes to explore the beach and there is a really cool cave to... 更多
One of our FAVORITE beaches in Vieques. Calm, peaceful and quiet. Great for swimming, relaxing, hanging a hammock and just taking in everything Vieques has to offer.
This beach was hard to get to but amazing and worth the effort. It's about 3 mile walk from the Malecon. If you rent a jeep, you can get to Media Luna (a pleasant place in itself) and walk the last mile. If you take a taxi ($5/head regardless of distance) you'll still have to walk 2 miles. The trail... 更多
The beach was beautiful. It has a couple of caves around the edge of the rocks. Water was clear and beautiful but had a strong current. It could be dangerous for small kids or non swimmers. The roads to get there are through the Sun Bay Beach. The road had a lot of holes and the branches of the trees... 更多
You must have an umbrella or you will burn and you can't really swim at Navio because the waves and current are rough. This isn't a place to take the family. This is a place to take an umbrella, sit read a book and just stick your feet in the water.
Place: This is the thrilling beach, I think the most 'exciting' beach Vieques has in terms of its waves, drive, turtle nests' and poor parking space. It is BEAUTIFUL but not swimmable, at least my opinion by the amount and strength of the waves that were coming at us. I was sooo sad to resign myself not to get in... 更多
On my last full day on Vieques I walked from the Esperanza Inn(right off Malecon) to Playa Navio. It took me about 45 minutes along the road. It was well worth it. There aren't any facilities or extras at this beach, but that doesn't take away from its appeal. It is down a long bumpy road or should I say... 更多
