I have been to Negril 4 times now and this is the first time I have been to lighthouse from land. The Lighthouse itself is very interesting and although we did not get a tour, apparently tours are available. The views are great, the grounds have remnants of an old fort on them also a couple of nice cottonwood trees.... 更多
While waiting for Rick's place to open the taxi let us off at the Lighthouse. It's ok. The views are great. Too bad they charge money to go up the Lighthouse. I did not go up.
I have been a regular to Negril for the past 5 years. My last visit to the Lighthouse was September 2, 2016, only to find that it was closed down...very disappointed...
We walked here from our hostel, it was a lovely little find! Walk ocean side, swing on a wooden swing from a tree next to the ocean and climb the lighthouse steps!
If you're looking for excitement and hustle bustle, this is not for you. The area is quiet, calm and serene... The views are amazing, take loads of pics.
It truly is beautiful!! We got to check everything out and look over the cliffs. It was a little disappointing because we couldn't go inside but if you like sight seeing, this is something you might check into. It was peaceful and nice. The view on the western most point of the island was pretty nice and what made the trip was a guy who also took us down to see the sea caves in the cliffs. It was good for something to do but not something to plan a day around.
It's not much interesting place for the tourist and call it the tourists attractions , but if there is nothing left to do you can visit this place but don't expect that much
