This is a fantastic way to spend half a day out from Montego bay. OK it is expensive, 156 dollars for two, but keep the money back because you will love the quiet tranquillity of the Martha. The rafts are stable and floating along at a slow pace gives you plenty of time to enjoy the countryside. If you are... 更多
We all tried the river rafting down the Martha Brae, an efficient collection from the hotel, a good intro to local culture with a couple of small gift shops and a bar before you get onto the bamboo rafts for a trip down this beautiful, scenic route. Recommended.
We went when the crowds were light, so it was very peaceful. The vendors on the side of the river were non-existent and the crowds were low. The river was a little muddy from recent rains.
Nice and relaxing tour. Our guide was helpful and told us about local fruits we saw along the way. Before you start, there is a few craft stores to look at if you like. They aren't too pushy, but do ask that you look. They are willing to barter. You are offered a complimentary fruit punch before you start. Anything... 更多
This was a lovely half day trip. We were on the raft for about an hour. It floats slowly down a beautiful gentle river surrounded by gorgeous forrest - so relaxing. Our raft guide was friendly and told us all about the plants and animals we were passing. He told us lots of interesting stories as we floated along and... 更多
I must have gone on a different trip than the other reviewers? Upon arrival they are trying to get you in to the shops to buy the same stuff that all the other shops sell. We got on the bamboo raft and our captain, bloke with a big stick, set off. Nice and leisurely down the green river. Trees on... 更多
beautiful river trip down the Matha Brae - one of the best things I have ever done :) but very hot so take plenty of sun protection. was relaxing and I felt very safe, Amazing to hear about the trees and plants that surround the river.
Yeah....that pretty much summarizes it. Now with me being a control gnome..to have it be relinquished to a young fella with nothing more than a thin bamboo stick, took a couple MaiTais/RummRUnners..then I was like whatever. The sun was sorta hid on our outing, but other guests who had gone the day prior complained about getting sunburned...so be forewarned. There... 更多
We like this excursion because after a week of swimming we were ready for a break, and here you can swim if you like, or stay dry on the raft if you prefer. The extra gift "opportunities" are pretty low-pressure compared to some places, but be aware that if the guy on the bank tosses you a souvenir raft, you... 更多
