This was by far the nicest and biggest beach in Kingston. Unlike Hellshire Beach which doesn't really have much beach, Fort Clarence is huge and a great place for family and friends to enjoy the day both in and out of the water. There's plenty of room to picnic and play games as well.
Went here with friends on a day out of the city. Clean, secure, fun place with a great beach in the Kingston area. It costs to go here but not much to pay for a secure clean beach. You don't have to worry about getting hit up by every person trying to sell you something.
Go hangout here on a weekday....there will be almost no one here, get yourself some fish, sun and sea. So wonderful!! Good for the soul.
I visited the attraction with a group of about 20 people. It was a wonderful day!! The visit was prearranged and the female representative at the gate was very pleasant and most professional! Arm bands were organized and put on promptly and the group was escorted to the reserved covred/shaded area which was adequate. We took our own food but... 更多
Sunday Beach time is good @ Fort Clarence because there is crowd control, ample secure parking,, Life Guards on duty., a mix of sunny & shady areas to relax.. at times the washed up sea weeds are plentiful.. but Marie's ( last Fish Stop located furthest left side of the Beach ) succulent fried fish & festival or bammy is... 更多
Attending the Jamaica Music Conference the last day of seminars was conducted on The Boardwalk at Fort Clarence Beach. I was able to relax, people watch, listen to good music, drink fresh made juices, and choose the fish I would have freshly prepared for dinner. It really doesn't get to much better for me and the only thing missing was... 更多
The beach, off the tourist beaten path but well known by the locals, was clean and the sea inviting, The best time to visit is a weekday when it's not crowded. The food there is also varied and very good and we had a Jamaican favourite of fried fish and bammy. I understand that the lobster is also good.
The beach is about 40 minutes drive from Kingston, but by all accounts quieter than Hell Shire Beach, as there is a small charge. There are showers and changing facilities and also a good few benches and tables under trees to get some shade. The sea was quite rough when I visited and it was a little windy, but once... 更多
This beach is quite a drive from Kingston but it was worth the drive, there are entry fee so the crowd was less and the beach was clean and nice.
