In this cemetery you can visit Fidel and Jose Marti tombs. Cemetery is very well preserved and a place to take a look if you are in Santiago de Cuba. The best part? The change of soldiers every half an hour. This is a must see while you are there!!

We were here for the first changing of the guard of the day at the memorial for Jose Marti. There are some beautiful statues and markers here for famous people - like Bacardis. Before you leave you can check out the large stone that marks Fidels grave.
Couls not miss this cemetary, since it houses Fidel and Jose Marti. Typical blindingly white mausoleums stretching as far as eye could see. Hot even at 10:30 AM. An umbrella would have been good. Compay Segundo and Bacardi are also buried there
Many beautiful white tombs amid palm trees and tropical plants. Fidel Castro very simple grave lies next to the grandiose mausoleum to José Marti leader of the Independence War and many other famous and anonymous Cubans.
