This sea-side, Havana neighborhood is for the well to do; located just West of El Vedado it extends along the coast all the way to Playa, an even more exclusive residential area, where many embassies have their mansions. In Miramar you will find fully stocked stores and supermarkets, shopping malls and fancy restaurants. The cars are newer, the residents whiter... 更多
we stayed in this lovely neighborhood (in and Airbnb) and found it really wonderful. We could walk to restaurants, to the water, and sit on our patio at night with views of the sea and downtown. Lots of restaurants here.
The Miramar district is right beyond the Malecon. If you take a classic car tour, you will drive through here. The area is not as densely populated as Havana proper, having houses with small yards instead of multi-story apartment buildings. Lots of palm trees and some impressive homes may be seen here.
We spend 4 nights in this area. It is definitely a nice area where you find a bunch of embassies and consulates. Therefore, it is clean, safe and really nice all around. The benefit of staying here is that you have a completely quiet and secluded place to go back to after a busy day around Central and Old Havana.... 更多
Being the home to most embassies, their families and staff, this makes for a relaxing spot. The shops especially the food stores were recently very well stocked. The walking is easy but take care of the sidewalk conditions as you enjoy the beauty. The promenade of 5th Avenue is lovely but under the direct sun. The water is nearby for... 更多
This seems to be a quite residential area. The most of the houses are well maintained here. There are green spots close to where we lived. This also an area with lots of embassies. There are some nice restaurants and a beautiful old church here.
We found ourselves in Miramar on the recommendation of our Casa host to eat at Riomar restaurant, 3RA Final no 11 La Puntilla. Our taxi driver wasn't sure where he was taking us and the neighbourhood didn't look as if there could possibly be somewhere good to eat. The restaurant is smart and elegant over looking the water. We watched... 更多
Havana was founded in its present location in 1519 right by the harbor and it always followed its natural growth course to the west. Miramar neighborhood originated in the first half of the 19th century when beautiful mansions sprang up amidst lush local vegetation. Do not miss a ride on a vintage car from the 50's on 5th Ave (Quinta... 更多
While Havana Vieja has fascinating buildings that evoke better tilmes in the past, the streets and houses of Miramar still look rather fresh and well-kept.You can find numerous cafes, restaurants, businesses and embassies scattered thru it.
