I love scuba, I hate boats (seasickness). For me, the Bay of Pigs is fantastic - spectacular coral and other marine life within 3m of the shore, with an awesome drop off within 30m. If you are a timid diver, or just want to see some beautiful live coral and sunken vessels, be followed by a barracuda and see lobster... 更多
There isn't much there but it is interesting to see where it took place. There used to be wild pigs running around there. The museum is Ok.
Go off the beaten track when driving to Central Cuba from Havana and meander into Zapata swamp, the largest marshland in the Caribbean region. Cenotes will strike your imagination, birdwatchers will fall for this area and historians will be able to savor history at the bay of pigs invasion landing site. Loved snorkeling here!! Be careful getting down into the water as it's pretty rocky (more volcanic & rocky in this area) and slippery (from algae). It gets deep pretty quick here and, depending on the day, there are some waves. There are some nice little fish to watch and the water is very clear since it's a sandy bottom!
