This was a great hike. It was 8 miles round trip from Weeping Rock drop off. This is a challenging hike and not for the faint of heart when it come to heights because there are drops straight down well over 1000 feet on the 4ft ledges you hike on. When you get to the top, you hike on flat... 更多
The hike from the bottom of the Canyon to Observation Point is, in itself, amazing. You see a vast array of geological features with some breathtaking views, and the view from the top is far superior to that of Angel's Landing. I spent three days in the park and took all the hikes, and this is BY FAR the best... 更多
We took the 'short cut' to Observation Point via the East Mesa trail. This in itself is an adventure as you drive the ascent instead of climbing it and the road eventually turns into a dirt path that is not passable without an ATV or all wheel drive vehicle. Neither of which we had, so we added about a mile... 更多
For me - I preferred this to angels Landing. It's a longer and tougher hike but it's quieter and lot more scenic on the way. The views from the top are phenomenal. This was one of my favourite hikes of our North America trip.
This hike will burn a lot of calories while getting to one of the most beautiful views in Zion National Park. You look down on Angel's Landing. Takes approximately 2 hours up, and 1 hour down, with a 1/2 hour to eat lunch and enjoy the view. It's a workout though to get there as you ascend over 2,000 feet.
If you are visiting Zion Nat. Park, you have to make the time to see observation point! If you don't want to hike for 6 hrs there & back, go to Zion Ponderosa Resort outside Zion Nat. Park. Stop and ask the desk for a map to get to the trailhead of observation pt. You can take the resort shuttle... 更多
Fairly easy hike that rewards you with an incredible view of part of the canyon. We weren't able to do Angel's Landing so this was an easy way to get a birds eye view. Worth it, for sure!
The best day hike in Zion. The initial ascent can be a bit strenuous, but definitely manageable for casual hikers. The views throughout the hike are incredible and the trail traverses a variety of scenery. Many parts of this trail are quite daunting for those who are afraid of heights, but is not as bad as Angel's Landing, and the... 更多
Visited Zion for the first time this past week. Temp in 80s but most of the hike to summit is in direct sun. The bottom portion consists of fairly steep switch backs the first 1.5 miles. As you enter the gorge weeping rocks there is shade and you get the full view of how deep the canyon really is looking... 更多
