My wife and I visited here a few days after going to the main canyon in Zion National Park. This canyon has many fewer visitors and is a peaceful alternative to the main canyon. It is conveniently located just off of I-15. There is a 5 mile drive from the visitor center at the entrance to the end of the... 更多
After spending five days in the main canyon of Zion and doing all the traditional hikes, we were ready for a few less people and a change of scenery. Kolob Canyons is a great alternative. It is about a 45 minute, easy drive from Springdale, just of 15. You stop at the visitor's center and show your park pass (it's... 更多
This is a great part of Zion Park to get away from the crowds . Nice scenic drive with a good road surface . Parking is easy . There is a pay station / visitor centre at the entrance but it is the same entry ticket as the main part of Zion Park so you only pay once We did... 更多
This part of Zion has its own entrance off I-15 and does not connect to the main park by road. Nevertheless, I recommend a stop here when you are in the area. Your pass from the main park is also good here in the same week. The road is all paved and there are numerous stops to enjoy the beautiful... 更多
Included in the Zion pass and well worth a trip, if you have your own car. It is so quiet here, in juxtaposition with Zion itself. There aren't landmark 'attractions', so to speak, it is more the overall impact of the place itself. See what you find.
If you're on Route 15 on the west side of Zion, take a detour into Kolob Canyons. It is more of a drive then a destination, but it will provide you with a glimpse of what Zion holds. If you are inside of Zion your time is better spent inside the canyon. The time it takes to drive around to... 更多
We finally made it Kolob Canyons. We have blown by on I-15 many, many times. As others have said this is a less crowded option to the main part of Zion National Park. It is only a short drive off I-15 to the visitor center and then onto the canyons from the visitor center. It is an in and out... 更多
We saw the sign on the freeway and decided to stop by the visitors center. The drive is only 5 miles up with plenty of turnouts, and you can drive it yourself, unlike Zion where you ride the shuttle busses. The views are amazing!! If you want to do alot of hiking, then go to zion and fight the crowds,... 更多
