This offshoot from Zion NP provides beautiful views, the 1.1 mile tunnel with cutouts providing natural light, and a mountain with a checkerboard pattern surface. We turned around when we reached the east entrance gate and drove back through the tunnel, giving us the reverse view. It is a great trip!
A beautiful place that has become overcrowded almost always, and with foolish tourists parking all along both sides of the very Narrow HWY to get photos or to hike, the rangers are overwhelmed and try to ticket these stupid people, but it's all gone way too far, you end up having to drive in the center double yellow line to... 更多
We drove the road to Mt Carmel although we turned back once we realized we had done the tunnels and there was just a long drive after that. The main tunnel is very dark and narrow and there are limits to driving it in the busy season. We were glad to be there during a quiet part of the year.
We almost didn't go this route, since we weren't sure whether it was part of Zion. We're so glad we took a chance and drove there anyway! The scenery is stunning, even on a cold and rainy day. It seems like every corner produces new views. We'll definitely be back again and again!
This place is incredible from the moment you enter the park! The enormous mountains as you enter are just breathtaking and leave you in awe as you look all around you. Once you go through the tunnel and you see a few "teaser" Windows, it does not prepare you for the grandiose scenery you are about to encounter. We came... 更多

Road was constructed by 1930 and it was a great feat of engineering, in my imagination some what like building the... 更多
Took this route from Springdale on route to Bryce. Beautiful scenery both before and after the tunnel. As you leave the tunnel there is a small carpark immediately on your right, park up and cross the road for a great hike and big horned goats.
I consider this drive a must see in Zion. Beautiful all around. Scenery before the tunnel and after the tunnel are different - unique and beautiful. We drove from Zion to Bryce and this part of the drive was magnificent.
