Took this route from Springdale on route to Bryce. Beautiful scenery both before and after the tunnel. As you leave the tunnel there is a small carpark immediately on your right, park up and cross the road for a great hike and big horned goats.
We turned onto this drive by mistake but it was gorgeous. We drove through the loooooonnngggg tunnel and came back into the canyon. The views were different from the ones on the floor of the canyon but were very gorgeous..
I love coming into Zion from the East side. Checkerboard Mesa is beautiful and very fun to climb and scramble over there Mountain sides.
