Our family spent a day in Voyageurs last week and will return again when we have more time (and a boat). This visitor center was small but well made. Beautiful building, helpful staff, hands on activiites for kids. We took a number of the trails nearby and they were beautiful and unlike most national parks, we saw very few people.
Good place to get information about Voyageurs National Park. Easy to get to. Very close to the Kabetogama Visitor Center. Nice walking trails.
There are multiple entry points to the Park. If traveling North on Highway 53 take the time and drive in. The Finnish log visitor's center itself is worth seeing. The nearby short trails give immediate access to the wilderness.
We swung by the Ash River Visitor Center on our way out to Kettle Falls from Lake Kabetagoma on a Wednesday. Unfortunately, it was not open. From what we saw, it was clean, had public boat access, and included some picnic tables. Overall, nothing to get too excited about...

The center itself is located in what used to be a resort lodge and that in itself is interesting to see. The rangers were helpful in telling us about the area. Some of the park literature mentions... 更多
I have visited numerous NP across the country - trying for all 50 plus, but this was one of my least favorite. Limited facilities, some centers only open part of the... 更多
We had just enough time to see one visitors center in Voyageurs, and chose this one. The staff was so kind and helpful. We did get great views of the lakes, beaver ponds, and shoreline. We were amazed at the number of people fishing. There were so many boats in the water. We would like to come back with our... 更多
Once you find it (turn at daves gas station), you are at a typical national park information center. This is the best way to get to rainy lake, crane lake, and kabetogama lake for a novice. Be advised, without a boat, you are lost.
