I loved this hike because I really felt like I earned the breathtaking views I experienced from the top. My friend I was traveling with actually wasn't feeling well when we started the hike so he turned back and I decided to continue on this hike alone. Its about 3.8 miles one way, so 7.6 round trip. It took just... 更多
This is a fairly rugged trail with some steep sections and lots of rocks. Make sure to take plenty of water, especially if leaving later in the day (in summer). Well marked and pretty well maintained as well as popular, should not be trouble to stay on the trail. Of course the views as you go up and from the... 更多
Awesome views of longs peak and the mountain range. This trail is south of Estes park. There is not much parking so go early. The trail is quite strenuous especially around where the land slide took place. The new trail is very well marked.
The trail can be fairly rough at times. There is a large section of switchbacks that washed out during the flood of 2013. Once above treeline you still have a little bit to go, however the views once you summit are worth every... 更多
This is a moderate difficulty hike. The trailhead offers decent parking if you arrive early (I was there at 0600). In the trees, rocky with lots of switchbacks. Generally easy to follow. Exception can be after initially crossing the landslide piece, but take your time. Once you clear the treeline, great views. However, the last 500 ft of elevation are... 更多
I did this hike one time just so I could go on a longer hike with the Y and will not ever do it again. Too many switch backs and rocks!! I like hikes that are lush and have lots of water. This hike is not that.
This is moderately difficult hike with an amazing panoramic view at the top. Well worth the 3.5 mile, 2000 foot... 更多
