This hike starts at the East Inlet Trailhead just north of Grand Lake. This is actually outside the RMNP gates so it could be done without paying park admission. It is a short loop trail (less than a mile) and has a small elevation change so it's a nice one to start with if you've just arrived in the area... 更多
We have always looked for short hikes to waterfalls with the kids over the years, this fits the bill. Easy hike to the falls, only bummer is that you are at the top of the falls vs. the bottom, but still up close and cool to see..you can do this in under 30 minutes. We continued on the trail another... 更多
A review by a senior (late 70's) for seniors. Well, seniors can do this hike; the question is whether it is worth the energy to walk this .6 mile! Although the energy investment is small, so are the falls. What you see from the viewing area is water rushing through a chute. True, there's a lot of power in that... 更多
We had a group of 5 for the specified age range to make this hike. It was well worth the effort! It was not overcrowded even on the July 4th weekend. The majority of us are not in the best physical condition so we took numerous rest stops along the trail to let everyone catch a breathe. It is not... 更多
Grand Lake is pleasant. Actually you leave the park to get here so make sure you keep your pass. But we drove from Estes Park, via Old River Fall road, to Grand Lake - 50 miles - and back again. At Grand Lake there is free wifi outside the Library and lots of touristy shops, but including some good ice... 更多
This was a great first day, get acclimated hike. The trail head was well marked, just outside of Grand Lake. The elevation gain is minimal and the trail is in the shade and cover of the trees.
This is a great and not very challenging hike to a waterfall. When we were there, the water was running at pretty much full force. It is a loop trial with some stairs. I don't think the elevation gain is over 100 feet. The trail continues on to a lake that is quite a bit further, but there was too... 更多
We went in March when it was covered in snow. Trail was still accessible . Hike was easy enough to the falls, even with baby in tow. It was a good way to get out of the condo and stretch our legs.
