I have visited this park twice already and it remained beautiful despite the fires that ravaged the Evergreen trees. Be prepared for the sudden changes in temperature as you reached the Overlook as it could drop to the low 30's. I came to this overlook after finishing Maple pass loop (it is quite close to that area). Just turn off the road, walk a few yards and you will be treated to nice view of the mountains.
On our way through North Cascades National Park we stopped at the Washington Pass Overlook and were surprised to find a great little hike that looped around to a mountain overlook. It was different than the views in the park, so be sure to stop here for a photo or two.
The view was fantastic. If you drive the North Cascades highway, do leave some time drive to this pass. You will never regret for taking extra time to this place.
One of the best view points in the Cascades without hiking! This overlook is right on the highway so easy for everyone to get to. Make sure to stop and enjoy. We took so many pictures here!
This and Diablo Lake Overlook are the two most scenic stops in the NCNP. This is well worth the 60 mile drive from Marblemount with panoramic views of the valley and mountains. It is a very short walk to the lookout points.
At the highest point on the highway (MP 162), this is a must stop along State Route 20 (North Cascades Highway) and the the last point of interest traveling eastbound.
