If you're like me, you came to this part of the world to visit North Cascades National Park. What you find out when you get here is that the National Park is the least accessible part of the region, and the majority of visitors spend time checking out the more popular Ross Lake NRA with parts accessible from right off... 更多
Stopped in one of camp grounds to have a quick picnic before our hike. The campground wasn't charging the day we went (unsure if it typically does). We pulled into a parking spot and conveniently walked to a picnic table on a pier. It worked out perfectly.
I had seen my husband's photos of Ross Lake and couldn't believe the water really was that green. So we planned a trip to this amazing place referred to as the American Alps. I've been all over this country and there isn't a more beautiful area anywhere. The mountains and the lake, where the water is so clear, it looks like you're looking through about 10 feet of water rather than the 100 feet that you are. Good campgrounds in the area and hotels about 60 to 70 miles east. Fishing isn't bad... 更多
