This is a good place to learn about the park. Rangers can give you information about what the park has to offer. There is a small museum displaying plants and animals of the park. It's a short hike to a small waterfall behind the visitors' center. There are also bathrooms and you can buy maps and park information brochures for... 更多

If you are unfamiliar with the smoky mountains your first stop should be at the visitor center. You can get road and trail maps and staff will be more than happy to recommend activities and answer questions for you. You also have access to bathrooms and a gift shop, the theater shows films about the smoky mountains on a rotating... 更多

Sugar lands visitor center offers friendly rangers to help with hikes and outdoor activities. The wildlife exhibit is very nicely done, too. There is also a gift shop. We usually stop in at the visitors center every time we come to Gatlnburg.

The staff was very helpful on a wide range of questions. Recommend getting the Starter pack ($5.) that is available at the information area. There are several nice trails behind the complex that are easy and fun to walk. Bad comment: When we were there the bathroom smelled and was very dirty.

So much to do in the Smoky Mountains and so little time. If you want to make the best of your visit to the mountains, from the Gatlinburg side, stop at the Sugarlands Visitors Center first. As any visitors center there as lots of items to purchase but the best reason to stop are the Rangers and Naturalists. If you... 更多

When visiting the Great Smoky Mountains from Gatlinburg, the Sugarlands Visitors Center is a must stop! The rangers are very knowledgeable on hikes, sights to see, etc. The gift shop is small but nice. And there's a cool exhibit on wildlife in the park, with stuffed versions of the animals.

Start with an orientation: geologically, historically and geographically. The Center has a free movie that accomplishes all three very nicely. Be sure to puruse the exhibits of the flora and fauna - among the best we've seen. The 'bookstore' has a wealth of additional information and materials available.

It's located in the centre of the entrance of Great Smoky Mountain National Park. It's helpful to get the map there and buy some souvenirs. The rangers there are also helpful to suggest you where you should visit.

Near the Pigeon Forge entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park road, be sure to stop at the Sugarlands Welcome Center. They have a a free video, a very nice gift shop, and a free beautiful small museum with creative displays of native flora and fauna. This was one of our favorite stops on a 4-day visit.

This visitors center is a must stop if visiting the Smoky Mountains and you have no idea what you are doing or where you are going. The Park Rangers there are very informative. There are all kinds of maps and literature you can pick up. There is a great gift shop with decent prices. If you are looking for Smoky... 更多
