We were so glad we did this. The views on this drive were wider in scope and give you a great feeling of the Grand Canyon. Make sure you give yourself at least half a day. Do the Cliff Spring trail. It is really neat. The spring itself is not much to look at, but the cliff is neat and... 更多
Its a slow drive out the 15 miles or so to the point, but the views are so amazing! You need a car or a tour, but once there, it is quiet enough and multiple places to walk around. Flat surfaces, not strenuous. Plenty of observation points, and a lot of different plants and trees to check out. Some great... 更多
After a morning of hiking the best possible plan for the afternoon in the North Rim is taking the gorgeous scenic drive that will take you from from the Lodge around the rim to the breathtaking views from Point Imperial and Cape Royal and a couple more spots. Take your time, stop in every viewpoint, time your drive to see... 更多
Tremendous views and worth the extra drive from the visitor's center. Angel's Window is breathtaking, and walking out on it really puts you well above the rocks below. Going out onto the Cape point is well worth it as well. The views are breathtaking and you can spend hours looking at the various gullies, etc. below. It is great trying... 更多
This drive leads to great viewpoints and a spectacular arch you can walk across. We were there at roughly nine in the morning and had the drive and the viewpoints mostly to ourselves. Bring a jacket, it can be breezy in the morning and quite cool.
This is a drive well worth taking and is only about 30 minutes from the North Rim Lodge. There is a stunning natural arch that you can walk out onto. Spectacular.
If you are going to take the time to visit the North Rim, then take another hour or two and take the drive out to Cape Royal. The very nice paved trail should be accessible to wheelchairs and the spur trail to Angles Window is a much see. The trail passes over a natural arch allowing you to literally be... 更多
We spent 3 nights on the North Rim and 2 of those evenings were spent on Cape Royal Drive both ending at Cape Royal for sunset. There were only a couple of other people there for the second sunset. The weather was threatening which I assume kept people away, which was too bad since it made for some very dramatic... 更多
When staying or visiting the North Rim this is a beautiful scenic drive. It provides the chance to get away from the crowds near the lodge with great scenery and several nice pulloffs. Highly recommend the "Cliff Springs" trail as a nice short hike located near the end of the drive. Also, the view at "window rock" is amazing. Takes... 更多
We really enjoyed this drive. Very relaxing and beautiful. Once you get out of the car to take a look at the view before you, you will be stunned! And you are not really even looking at the Grand Canyon, but side canyons which are just as gorgeous. Highly recommend. Not as many people as on the South Rim.
