If you do the St. Mary falls hike keep going and enjoy the higher and more spectacular Virginia Falls. Well worth the hike. A pit toilet near the falls in case you need one. Very thoughtful with all that rushing water. When you see the "Ewok" bridges you know you're near the falls.
For those of you who decide to hike to St. Mary Falls, which is stunning, do NOT miss taking the extra time and effort to continue the hike to Virginia. I'm 73 and if I can do it, you can do it. It is actually an easy hike and once you reach Virginia Falls, it is well worth it. You... 更多
You can access these falls by taking the St. Mark Lake/trail to Virginia Falls trail. Do not stop at the first sign of falls, as these falls continue to get better and better the higher you climb. Was well worth the 2 hours we spent walking down to the falls!
Can be reached from the trail-head for St. Mary Falls. Along the trail, after passing St. Mary Falls, there are two additional waterfalls which are beautiful (do not know the names)...Continue on to Virginia Falls to see its "multi-tiered waterfall, with the main fall dropping roughly 50 feet, another secondary chute, and then a short cascade section at the bottom."... 更多
Easy access via the FREE Hiker Shuttle. Although the area was burned during the 2015 Reynolds Creek fire, it is a beautiful walk. The hiker shuttle stops right at the St. Mary's/Virginia Falls trailhead (note- there is NO private car parking available at this trailhead so you must use the free hiker shuttle. The St. Mary's falls comes up first... 更多
We almost scrapped this hike because it is mostly through the area burned in 2015, but are so glad that we did the hike anyway. The falls are nice, but we actually really enjoyed the trip through the burned forest best of all. The forest floor is already covered with wildflowers, and the trees have no limbs or leaves to... 更多
We began this hike from Baring Falls. There is a shuttle stop that drops down to St. Mary's Falls and on to Virginia) The trail follows along's St. Mary Lake....Even though there was a recent burn (last year) it was still so beautiful. The contrast of the black trees, green ground cover and purple fireweed with the back drop of... 更多
