Almost a mini Grand Canyon. There are scenic views around every bend and ample pull off places where you can take photographs or just admire the view. It's fun trying to spot the various animals although if a crowd of cars is assembled you can bet someone has spotted something. Allow time for plenty of stops. Well worth the $15... 更多
Unless you are a serious hiker, this is the best way to experience the Badlands - drive the Loop Road, but make sure you schedule time for a multitude of stops. The Fossil Trail is available, as are a number of scenic overlooks, and some spots where you may just wish to pull off and enjoy the sights. On our... 更多
The drive through Badlands National Park is scenic and on well paved roads. We stopped at several of the lookout spots and really enjoyed the views.
Such an amazing drive. You don't even have to leave the car to get unparalleled views of the beauty in the Badlands. Charge your camera, fill your tank, and add this to your itinerary. We chose to hike in the morning, drive the loop for 2-3 hours in the afternoon, and then finished the night easily in Keystone (Mt. Rushmore).... 更多
This is a great road, good for pulling a travel trailer (ours is 24'). You can pull off at the scenic Pullouts with a trailer and enjoy. We found sunrise and sunset times to be the most beautiful, quiet and dramatic. Have a good camera with plenty of wide angle and telephoto lenses ready. Highly recommended.
This is a short side trip on I90 which goes between Wall, SD and exit 131. The loop can be accessed for either east or west bound travelers. The cost is $15 per car load. There are 16 turn outs a long the route, most of which have ample parking for all sorts of vehicles. The visitor center has displays,... 更多
We drove the Loop Road en route from Sioux Falls to Custer and were surprised how much time it took. It is an amazing ride with several overlooks and we started out stopping at all of them, which probably wasn't necessary, and made the drive super long. My favorites were the Big Badlands Overlook and Panorama Point (the first and... 更多
Even if you are just passing through the area, take the time to drive the Badlands Loop Road and stop at some of the many viewing areas. This road really gives you the essence of this beautiful place. In addition to the other worldly scenery, there are trailheads for short, easy hikes, picnic spots, and opportunities to see prairie dogs,... 更多
