This National Park has the most breathtaking views!!!!! The scenery is beyond words!!!!! If you are looking for a sense of peace and beauty this destination will not disappoint. You will not want to leave. Beauty beyond compare!!!!!
This was our first visit to Maine and I'd always wanted to go to Acadia National Park. It's a beautiful place, although we didn't see any animals while in the park. The rangers were very helpful and we found out that last week when we were there was the last week for the ranger led programs, because the winter's are... 更多
Go in the fall to see the amazing backdrop of colors as the leaves turn from green! Words cannot describe the beauty of it all! The visitor center is great, very helpful staff and buy a couple of souvenirs to help support the park! There is plenty of walking and driving trails that start here and you can get a... 更多
Very crowded and a small souvenir store as compared with some other parks. There were a lot of stairs however I am sure there was a handicapped entrance I just didn't see it.
The Visitor Center didn't have anything that was necessary to go there for, really, unless you're trying to schedule a tour, get permits, or pick up literature for your trip. Any seasoned traveler will already have all of this information if they're any type of planner... you can get all the same information online or from other sources before getting... 更多
The visitor center is open from 8:30 to 4:30 unfortunately we arrived there at about 4:45 so we couldn't get our passes on Friday which we planned on doing so that we could explore a little Friday night and early start on Saturday. After our 4 1/2 hour drive we were fine with it though. We did get there right... 更多
Small visitor center up 52 steps. We picked up a park map and went on our way. Gift shop located at the center is also small. The woman working there actually referred me to another park store for the park token I was looking for. Seems strange that the main visitor center seems lacking.
Had both clear days and damp foggy days on our visit, and I can't honestly decide which was best. Sure, the views from Cadillac Mountain are stunning, but to walk the trails on a cool misty morning was equally inspiring. An absolute must see.
Even though it was a rainy day when we visited, it was crowded and hard to determine what literature was free and what was for sale. The Rangers were very knowledgeable when you could finally que up to them and the park was great!
