Silay City offers a lot of Heritage Houses, one of which is the Balay Negrense Museum. As you pay the entrance fee of 65php and get in, you can immediately see the antique furniture and items way back from the Spanish era. A tour guide will also accompany you to the many rooms and explain things in detail.
The museum was a fitting venue for the annual Tripadvisor Philippines meet-up. The house was more attractive when fully lit up at night. But most of the items inside are collections by the provincial government, which included those of other families that are not from the Gaston family, the original owners of the house. The place also needs a bit of maintenance and repair.
