This is a wonderful ruin with amazing views. We had read that they have free guided tour with the price of admission but this is not true. You are on your own to explore this spectacular ruin. My 13 year old wanted to see ruins from the Crusader period and this certainly fit the bill.
Easy access from the parking lot. Beautiful view of the surrounding area. On a very hot day we were blessed with amazing breezes. Fascinating walk through the Crusader fortress on the trade route between Tyre and Damascus.
If you like history especially military history then this is for you. The defensive castle is quite well preserved and helps you understand how these fortifications commanded a large area. The ruin is very large and a casual walk reading all of the descriptions can take over two hours. Views are incredible. Well worth the trip. Best and most extensive... 更多

Amazing views down the Hula Valley and plenty of information about the history of the site. Peaceful when we visited with some lovely cool avenues to stroll along. Well recommended and good value for... 更多
I was hoping for 'more'. A lot of the castle has been destroyed over time. Earthquakes and centuries are not kind. The views up ther, especially in the spring, ARE fantastic. I enjoyed that more than the fortress. Still, it has some interesting things, including a stone spiral stair to walk down.
