Nimrod Fortress National Park should be in the top 10 things to do in this region. It was massive..well preserved. We were shocked how well preserved actually. There are numerous nooks and crannies to explore and excellent views. The pictures I have seen of this National Park did not do it justice, I highly recommend that you come and check... 更多
This Arabic architectural marvel is sure to inspire young and old. Laid out over 450m of ridge line, the site dominates the vistas for miles around. The ruins are remarkably well preserved given the passage of time 800 years or so. If you make it to the high tower in what is believed to be the original fortress/ castle keep... 更多

Nimrod up in the northeast corner of Golan was originally an Ayyubid fort that was later used by the Mamelukes against the Crusaders. It's in great shape and the views are tremendous.
Visited the ruins during a weekday. Very few visitors. The site is impressive. The walk is pretty hard for older people. The signs should be improved. You cannot buy any refreshments there.
Extensive and well-preserved ruins of fortress. Great views of surrounding areas. Note that it is close to the Banias Waterfall and springs, but younger children may be too tired to spend hours at both. A combo ticket for both the fortress and waterfall saves a few $ per person.
Nimrod Castle stands tall amongst the hills and mountains of the Golan Heights. It is very accessible and the paths are well marked. The history of this fortress that was never breached, is quite fascinating.. and the views are just phenomenal.
