We drove approximately an hour and 15 minutes from Isla Verde to view the cave because it had received good reviews and was not as touristy as Camuy. We were led on a brief 10 minute guided walk to the cave (the guide admitted to rushing it due to the impending rain). A boy of about fifteen led us down... 更多
An excellent place to go, a little bit hard to find and challenging if you are not ready to walk in a rough terrain, but me with two kids managed just fine
The view definitely does meet all expectations and the guides are very knowledgeable of the environment and land. The hike/walk through the cave is extremely short, I thought the hike/walk was going to be longer. They charge double the entry fee for non-locals which is $20. It is definitely not worth the price due to the size of the cave.... 更多
Beautiful went to the cave and saw the town from 700 feet up. Cave used by Taino Indians. Would not recommend it for those individuals who are hot healthy as you have to climb stairs and then climb down rocks and up rocks as well.
The view is amazing. You have to walk about 8 minutes to get there, first a challenging entrance, then darkness and finally the rewarding view to the Arecibo valley.
Im a local at Puerto Rico and I have been to several caves in PR, I like this cave because it is safe (as long as you follow instructions) and it has not been totally manipulated by man kind. You get the adventure of being in the cave as it is meant to be.
Very good tour, cheap, not to long, but worth it. The view from the inside out of the cave let you speechless. I saw snakes, bates, iguana. Tour guide was very friendly and teach you some history during the tour. Lot of fauna. There is another cave u can enter and explore by urself, don't miss it.
I toured Cueva Ventana with my class of college geology students students in May. The guides were excellent. Gabriel was very enthusiastic, thoroughly knowledgeable, and spoke English fluently. Our other guide spoke only Spanish with a little English, but was great at showing us the creatures and interesting rock formations in the caves. If you're looking for a Disney ride,... 更多
Great expedition for the whole family. Some rock climbing needed but manageable. Wonder inside two caves for amazing photos and the great view from the "Ventana". Bring walking shoes/boots.
We went with the children. We saw bats. We had a guide who led us to the window of the cave. We had a great time! Must wear running shoes to walk safely. Along the path to the cave, there are native Indians and we took pictures with them. We found leaves from a tree on which one can write.... 更多
Getting to the cave was a bit of a hike but if you are in shape it is not so bad. Inside the cave were lots of bats but they were not a problem. The view out the end of the cave called the window I think was beautiful but don't go to close to the edge. We enjoyed the... 更多
The cost of the tour is a little steep. The hike in is nice. Cave entrance is a little steep and rough. Cave was mediocre in my oppinion.
If you don't live in PR, I believe the cost is $20 per person which honestly I thought it was reasonable. They tour you through 2 caves and they explain everything very detailed about the plants and animals (especially the bats- which there are hundreds) I really liked this experience and it was a beautiful view, definitely a must see.
