This is a very highly recommendable experience for either locals or international travelers. The elephants are young but quite content & amicable. While they have been trained they only do what comes as natural behaviour for them. The keepers are great people that take good care of visitors. If you have an appreciation for these animals I would definitely take... 更多
This is a difficult place to review, and I was in two minds about visiting. Whilst I found the experience of touching the elephants and walking with them 'hand in trunck' over a very short distance a special moment, I did also feel like the elephants were a little exploited and just 'going through the paces', especially when they had... 更多
What a wonderful experience! Nothing fancy just really raw and truly an amazing experience interacting with these beautiful and friendly elephants. We learned a lot about elephants, but the best part was being able to enjoy a moment with each elephant personally. The staff was really friendly and made us feel safe and sound in the presence of these great... 更多
I researched carefully because we wanted to touch elephants but didn't want to contribute to a place that abuses elephants to "tame" them. The Elephant Sanctuary at the Crags, near Plettenberg Bay, had a good review from an expert in animal behavior. The Knysna Elephant Park (KEP), however, is owned by the same entity as Elephant Eden, and I read... 更多
Professional guides and friendly service. Walked, trunk in hand with an elephant. The three elephants were amazing and their names are Thandi, Jabu and Marula. We were in a group of 10 other people but all got a chance to touch, feed and take photographs with the elephants. The guides were entertaining and light-hearted but they knew their elephants well.... 更多
Was a great experience. The staff was very friendly and eager to answer any questions that we had. The animals are well trained but it is good to remember that they are still wild animals. Listen to what the guides say and you will enjoy.
What a wonderful feeling to be in the presence of greatness. A guided tour includes walking with the elephants and feeding them. The information given about the elephants is very informative. What an experience. A visit to the sanctuary is definitely worth while. Regards The Pillay Family Vereeniging
This was the worst experience we've had in SA. The elephants are clearly scared of their handlers and perform an outdoor circus. We left half way through as it was horrible to see the beautiful creatures treated like this. Don't go if you love elephants.
What a fantastic place. A real insight into how the elephants have been cared for since been made orphans. Wonderful experience getting so close to the elephants, definitely a highlight of our holiday.
