MUCH LOVE AND RESPECT.. this place was 2 hours away from the hotel.. it was an expierence. the roads were small but our driver Derven was so good, we felt comfortable . once we got all the way up the mountain the tour guid inside was really fun.. and the tour did not last long.. that was good because it... 更多
My daughter visited here with her friend. They are both 20 years old. They knew of Bob Marley and some of his music, they both thoroughly enjoyed it, they learned a lot. They would recommend it.
My boyfriend and I along with my parents went to go visit the birth place of Bob Marley. It was nice but it was a short visit, I thought we would be able to see the legends casket, we didn't it was just a big tall box where they claim he's resting in place inside. Kind of hard to believe... 更多
the thought is nice that Bob Marley stayed here for some years. Apart from his bedroom, all rooms are empty with walls covered with posters, newspaper articles, reviews, t-shirts that he wore and so on. Nothing more, nothing less.
We had a nice couple of hours at BM mausoleum, our guide (though really stoned) told us interesting stories of BM, of his life, his music, his family and the place - Nine Miles. He told us about the inspiration to the lyrics - the small cabin, "my single bed". It was quite moving to se both mausoleums - BMs... 更多
Want know a little more about Bob Marley? This is definitely a must do when you visit Jamaica. You MUST do this with a tour. I would not suggest that you try this drive on your own. It's winding and narrow and my hat's off to our driver. The Bob Marley tour was enlightening and provides insight into the beginnings... 更多
This is the place were Bob Marley was born, his home. There are few gift shops inside, bar and even scene for live concerts. Smell of marijuana is everywhere. You can buy drugs just outside the mausoleum gate and smoke inside. I didn't like the museum. There guide didn't give us much information about Bob Marley or anything actually. He... 更多
Yes, it may be a little overpriced and commercialised but I absolutely loved it and it was a highlight of my trip. You can't say no to a flaming shot of rum and a spliff at 10.30 am. When in Rome... I overheard some of the other guides talking about 'Bob was born on 6 February 1945...' not our guide.... 更多
We drove ourselves up to the mausoleum while touring the island. It is a very long and very tiring drive so if you take a taxi or bus it will save you time. I used my Google maps GPS and it miss directed me in lower Brownstown but we got back on track. Basically just stay on the main road... 更多
I was a bit concerned after reading some of the reviews, but our trip was positive, we enjoyed ourselves and learned more about one of our all time favorite singers. Some tips- do not bring children, there was a baby and a toddler in our group. Seriously? This is adults only type of event....Hotels offer baby sitting, just ask. use a... 更多
