once in a life time trip, the everest base camp trekking. two to three week trekking from Lukla to Everest Base Camp. it is a very tough climbing.
At that altitude climbing was really tough, but view worth it. My first advice is don't be late to start climbing. Because sometimes you can miss the view within minutes. Clouds suddenly can come. We left 4 am , reached peak 6 am and 6:20 clouds covered Everest. And if there is no view, wait a little because it is... 更多
Its a wonderful and exciting trek to kala pattar .Its a high altitude trail.and the trek started from lukla airport .its not an easy trek to kala pattar because many of them gets altitude sickness as well. to have a great view from kala pattar we should trek as soon as in the morning like about 3-4 am or it... 更多
Kala Pattar is higher and has a much better view than Everest Base Camp. All those photos you see of the Everest pyramid are (usually) taken from Kala Pattar. It's not an easy climb (due to the altitude and fairly steep trail) but worth every step. Be aware - it can be cold and windy up there. I took my... 更多
arguably better than going to Everest Base camp if you had to choose just one - do this one. I went up in the early predawn and caught sunrise and amazing views of some of the worlds tallest peaks - incredible!
This was a day hike from nearby Gorek Shep where you can get the best possible views of the mountains in the surrounding areas. We went toward the end of the day, many choose to summit Kala Pattar at sunrise.
Kala Pattar is one of the more powerful and energetic places in the world. You have to be there at least once in a lifetime!!!
If you have made the trek to Everest Base Camp but feeling underwhelmed by the lack of views or not reaching an actual summit - make sure you climb Kala Pattar. It is a tricky 2-3 hour hike from Gorak Shep. I would recommend starting at 3:30am to 4am to capture sunrise over Everest at the peak. Great views of... 更多
We started our hike up Kala Pattar at 5am, before the sun rose. In September, the sunrise is typically at 5:30-6am, so we were able to catch a view of it on the way up. (You wouldn't want to watch the sunrise from the top if it's snowing anyway - the top section is pretty sketchy in the daylight, so... 更多
Did this a number of years ago. Difficult but fantastic journey. Views in all directions are outstanding. Slept (?) at 17,000 feet. Takes some acclimatizing to get there.
