Beautiful ancient forest with a network of well maintained trails. Easy parking at he trailheads so you can abandon your car and immerse yourself in the multi shades of green where shafts of sunlight penetrate the canopy to illuminate bright patches amongst the deep shadows. The huge boulders are spectacular and the sound of the bubbling stream below where we... 更多
Its a nice walk but a bit of a stretch to say 'awesome'. Rocks are big and have some geological history. You will find better walks nearby in the forests. All said a nice location and worth a detour.
It's a very different and spectacular place to visit, there are many forest walks and the massive rocks are quite something to see. But do wear sensible footwear as some of the paths are very uneven with rocks and roots of trees. Also it's a good idea to research which route you are going to take carefully, the signage is... 更多
I was concerned at my ability to ramble around here but found the place easy to take at my own pace. It was absolutely fascinating. The rock formations and wonderful play on the rocks from the sun was terrific. Would highly recommend a day here. We saw elderly, young families and babes in prams (although a few places would have... 更多
Fascinating rock formations. Devils cave, rock formations, pleasant forest walks to explore. Warning, pre school kids need to be glued to you, slightly older kids watched closely, lots of dangerous drops. We found the signage pretty good unlike others, NB Tourist office shut 12 to 2 if you are after a map. A very enjoyable 3 hr ramble.
Beautiful and fun walk in the forest ! Forget about taking the pushchair though. Our kids of 3 and 6 years old loved it as much as we did. Plenty to see on the way and walking on the stones was great fun. Indeed signing could be better, but there are always people on the way to ask to.
The forest of Huelgoat is the most beautiful forest we have seen in Brittany. It has beautiful rocks and caves. We had a pleasant walk for about three hours, visiting most of the local sights. Signing is bad. Not even the map of the local tourist office helped us out, as it is flawed. That spoiled our visit a bit.
Really enjoyed this beautiful forest and children loved the huge rocks. Well worth the drive to get there. Only frustration was lack of clear walking trail or maps...... First to find where to start the walk and then once in which way to go - we just kept walking in what we hoped was the right direction! We had such... 更多
Get a free map from the tourist information in the village before you visit so you know which way to walk! Parking is free in the town centre and we walked from there. The forest is amazing, really unusual and loads of formations to look at. Made for an excellent stop over afternoon travelling across Brittany. There are public toilets... 更多
Well, I wasn't expecting this! The boulders are amazing. Apparently they were formed underground and found their way up to the surface. There is a jumble of huge boulders going down the river valley, you can hear the river flowing about 7m below. The Devils grotto is a must, with its waterfall and noise. Just be aware there is a... 更多
