A wonderful chateau with a fascinating history. We arrived just in time for the guided tour which gives you access to the fascinating library room which are otherwise locked. The tour was in french but I suspect our charming guide spoke perfect english! It was lovely to wander through the rooms and then down the fabulous staircase (based on the... 更多
We live quite near to this beautiful chateau and we visit every time we have guests staying with us. We never tire of going there as we see something new each time. Most of the chateau is visited unguided but a written explanation is available in several languages. The two magnificent libraries are visited by guided tour only but the... 更多
This would be a great outing for a rainy day or something similar to the hot and humid day we visited the Chateau. Parking is easy to find in the large carpark at the bottom of the castle and the 200 yards or so walk up to the top isn't too strenuous, although if walking IS a problem, I think... 更多
We were delighted to have our daughter's wedding here recently. There is a chapel and a terrace for the cocktails. Downstairs there is a choice of several atmospheric baronial rooms for the wedding breakfast, although it has to be said, for the caterers the non modern kitchen facilities leave a lot to be desired! Still we chose a company who... 更多
I loved this Chateau. Its in a wondefully French village just 10 mins outside Angouleme. A little expensive at 10 Euros for adults but once inside there are is lots to see. Kida and adulkts can dress up in period costumes to wander round in if you choose. The family still occupy some of the Chateau and the Chocolaterie d'Antan... 更多
Lovely interesting building and contents. You can chose to dress up to wander round which some adults and most children did. No pressure from guides watching you, you just wander round as you wish. Didn't think it was too expensive.
We loved that you could explore the chateau by yourself, which really made the visit worth it, we were initially put off because it costs 10€ per person, but don't let it put you off, it's well worth if. We were given a printed leaflet in English to read about the various rooms. If you are near Angouleme make sure... 更多
The castle is famous and only 5 minutes from the highway between Limoges and Angoulême. You can park your car right outside, so if you have a spare hour, it can be a nice break. The entrance fee is rather high, with 10 euro's for adults and 5 for kids, but I guess the maintenance costs will be huge. A... 更多
