I travelled from La Fortune, a long ride... It's a boat-tour, and you get to see a few monkeys, birds, sloth and maybe a turtle... Nothing you can't see in any reservation in Costa Rica! Don't bother to go all the way there.
Cana negro Rio Frio tour very good… Jerri did a super job. Lots of animals. Snack and lunch included, they provide bottled watter. Juice and coffee included with lunch and snacks. $65 for an all day tour 715am to 4pm. On the way up they stop a a restaurant for a break. They have several iguanas in the trees by... 更多
Bring your camera!!! We saw so much wildlife here it was astonishing. As many types of birds as you can only imagine, bats, and caimans galore. Our boat driver didnt speak fluent english but made it fun for us to try to meet him half way in spanish.
We took an awesome boat tour and were able to see a variety of animals close up. We saw white face monkeys, howler monkeys, spider monkeys, sloths, caiman crocodiles, jesus lizards, long nosed bats, and a number of different birds. Our guides did a tremendous job locating each animal and giving detailed information on each one. This is definitely the... 更多
If you like to see wildlife and don't mind a little moisture, this is a fantastic place. We took a day trip from La Fortuna and while the drive was dull, once we got on the boat, the trip was worthwhile. We saw three types of monkeys (howler, spider, and white-faced), caimans, and zillions of birds (vultures, egrets, spoonbills, kingfishers,... 更多
Great place for wildlife and nature. Would definitely go back here. Whether you drive your self or take a package tour is a matter of convenience. The road is very good except for the last 15 km, which is dirt and gravel - don't be told other wise. Kids loved it.
We took the boat tour down the Rio Frio and were amazed with all of the wildlife we saw. We saw caiman, sloths, and 3 kinds of monkeys, as well as bats, birds, butterflies, and the Jesus Christ lizard. We enjoyed the tour out of La Fortuna. We had a typical Costa Rican lunch included and our guides were very... 更多
Sorry, but it is a waste of time... First hour you travel to pick up other participants. You travel for 2 hours to see few monkeys, birds and small cayman. Our instructor was knowledgable. Food was ok. And 2 hours back... And 1 hour to drop off... Bottom line - big hassle for nothing...
Going on a wildlife tour is always a surprise - you never know if or when you will see something. This refuge is home to a variety of animals and we were lucky to see many birds and monkeys in the trees and even some bats. Being on a boat gives you a different perspective than hiking through the forest... 更多
