we drive by this park every time we drive down to victoria. can't remember the last time i stopped. i thought we might see the start of the annual fall salmon run in the goldstream river, but we were too early, so we missed the fish and the bald eagles that gather to feed on them. still, it was a... 更多
We had to come after all we read about it. Completed the trail to the train track, followed the track for about 3 more km and then tried to find the old gold mine through another never-ending trail. Headed back after we put 10Km on our shoes. Some corners are really neat. I would say two things to keep in... 更多
By the end of a camping trip I usually look forward to getting home, but while camping here for 4 nights, I could have stayed even longer with enthusiasm. The location is great if you want to camp close to Victoria, and have a quiet stay. The bathroom facilities were clean (besides when people made messes during the day) and... 更多
This campground is the best I've been to. Jumbo trees (it took a while to hang the hammock because the straps didn't fit around most of the trunks.) Many fairly private sites. We stayed in 53, which had someone behind, but about a 30m buffer on either side. Lots for kids to do: Bike track Playground Paved roads-chalk, scooters Waterfall... 更多
Nice park with old growth trees, seasonal spawning salmon october/November, trestle, waterfall, deactivated mines hats, and a 400 metre climb up to mount Finlayson. There is a nice interpretive Centre at the mouth of the river.
If you want to experience camping in a magnificent Pacific Northwest forest this is the best place to go, and it's only 10 minutes out of Langford, BC (Victoria). Excellent facilities and a little waterfall with a little pond and stream you can swim in. This is probably the best campground in Canada for forest-type camping.
his park is beautiful. Trees, trees and more trees. The showers didn't work very well, but everything else is outstanding. Friendly helpful staff, they vent do vents and games for campers if you want something different to do.
Great facility, camping grounds, nature walks among the 600 + year old trees and fabulous hiking trails, we took the Goldmine hike to the 'famous' train trestle...it's a rugged and steep hike in some points, we crossed the trestle...85 metres above the river...I have to admit, I had a hard time with that one but I has to do it!...we... 更多
Yet another one of BC incredible provincial parks! We stayed at the Goldstream Campground, and were very impressed by the staff and the condition of the facilities. The sinks outside the washrooms were a fantastic addition we haven't seen in other parks yet!
