Always a beautiful spot, the park is particularly interesting in the fall when the salmon run. Gorgeous trees along the stream make for a very beautiful walk. Stop at the waterfall as well as the park house/ shop/ museum. You can't beat the price - free!
Went for a walk with the dogs there during the salmon run. The trails are in great shape. In the fall it's absolutely beautiful there. You could spend hours there just watching the spawning salmon or hiking the trails. Take a camera, you will need it.
easy access, just a short drive from down town Victoria, can be visited all year around, the best time is late October to mid or late November for the Salmon run, the park itself is beautiful with wide flat trails and wheelchair accessible.
We often stop by this park when going up or down Island. Lots of things to do, but mostly just walk with nature.
Have been to the park many times and never get tired of the beautiful sights and being outdoors enjoying nature at it's best. The salmon run is spectacular and very popular with tourists and locals alike. Great place for a picnic with the family or just a nice walk.
