My wife and me visited Jog falls this Oct, we used the staircase to reach the bottom of the cliffs and then climbed back up. The steps were is good shape for most part, due to rains some of them will be slippery so watch out. Not advisable to do this is you have to carry kids.
A very beautiful water falls amidst deep valley, the sight from the distant view point is fantastic. There are three separate falls from a height. There are steps made to reach close to water falls. This is a fantastic panoramic falls. Of course, one would see its full splendour during monsoon. However there is always some water. It has four units - Raja, Rani, Rocket & Rover. The sight is amazing. Many home stays are available.
Actually it is not a good time to watch beauty of Jog Falls, water at Falls was very less. You should visit this place during Mansoons i.e. In month of July-August. With the help of local guide called Mathew we ventured out many place in and around Jog Falls.
Well we started off early morning from Bangalore via road and reached by afternoon 2pm at jog falls. The ride was peaceful and beautiful. We went in November and everybody said there was not much water there. But, to me, even with less volume of water, the Falls were spectacular and no less beautiful. I have seen literally hundreds of waterfalls around the world and I can honestly say that Jog Falls certainly rates high. We climbed down the 1400-odd steps to the bottom... 更多
