A regular haunt with the Grandchildren. Great to watch the barges through the locks and feed the ducks. We only walked a little section of the locks as part of a longer walk. The paths are well maintained and it is a lovely scenic walk. There are plenty of information boards giving the history of the locks and surrounding canals. Fascinating.
This is a lovely walk with lots of history catch a narrowboat doing the locks then made even better. Admire the views when you finish the walk try the Samuel Oldknow pub in Marple market place for a real ale
A really great place for dog walking , this is a five star destination if you have a dog. For the rest well there's not a lot here , nice views of the canal , wildlife ,etc , plenty duck /geese, sometimes . Locks are a bit scary to look into , quite deep and heaven help anyone falling in... 更多

We were staying in Marple with relatives and my sister in law brought us for a walk here ,Really picturesque with a lot of boats moored up for autumn/winter .Plenty of people taking their dogs for walk .A great setting and -walkways well maintained
Just decided to stop and take a look one day. Was very surprised at how lovely a walk it was with lots to watch and see along the way. Some lovely cute houses. The kids were amazed at how the locks worked and really enjoyed themselves
