Went to visit Pencarrow House after visiting their website to check on details and opening times. On arrival found notices to say that the house, gardens, cafe etc but the grounds were open. Very unsatisfactory so I would advise that before any visit you phone just to ascertain that they are open and if not what is. No explanation was... 更多
Thank you for your comments. I am unsure which website you were looking at but I personally updated the Pencarrow... 更多
We recently visited Pencarrow House and Gardens for the first time. We normally like to wander around the house and do our own thing but here it was guided tours only. Our guide was excellent. Informative, amusing and able to maintain interest throughout the hour long tour. The house and it's history was far more interesting than we expected from... 更多
Popped in on a wet day and really enjoyed our visit. A good, friendly and professional guide to take us around the house, pleasant gardens for a stroll, and lovely curry in the restaurant. All good!

I had lunch (soup) in the "cafe" and the staff were extremely friendly and efficient. I also took advantage of the "plant... 更多
We visited Pencarrow House expecting to wander round by ourselves, only to find there were guided tours which lasted about an hour. We were disappointed to learn that the entrance price included the gardens. We couldn't buy just a house only ticket. Most houses open to the public have a choice of house only and if you want to include... 更多

It was mentioned that the house was only open on a guided tour basis which is not something we'd normally go for so we were a little apprehensive to begin with. The site is... 更多
First visit to Pencarrow. Beautiful gardens and lovely house. Guide Sue was very informative and friendly, made the tour of the house really interesting. Will be going back soon.
This is a dog friendly attraction and has great walks round the grounds. They even have dedicated parking spaces in the shade for people with dogs. We didn't go into the house so can't comment on it. Lovely cafe in the courtyard, great cream tea.
