Excellent place for a bit of exercise. Classic views to capture and send home. Easy to get to and parking close by, for a small fee.
This is a must go near Sydney. You can arrive to Palm Beach by bus or by car and then walk (15-20min) from the beach until the lighthouse. Make sure you are there for the sunset, it is simply amazing.
After driving for a length of time from Sydney's CBD, one hopes that the time in invested is time well spent. And, the time invested is certainly worth it, because the lighthouse itself, the views and the tour are excellent. When you arrive at the lighthouse site, do make sure you book in, because the tours can become booked out.... 更多
Ah, it's one of those things when you think that every lighthouse is the same - long windy walk, sandy and the sign grossly over estimated the time to climb. The trip up was a little difficult as my partner had dislocated his knee a few weeks previous, so for those with knee problems the climb may be a struggle. However it was well worth it, the view was spectacular and it was very relaxing at the top. If you are heading over to palm beach this is a must!
As an international traveller staying in Sydney for a week, this was definitely a respite from the city. No large tourist groups, just some nice peace and quiet amidst stunning scenery. The walk up the cliff/lighthouse starts from the carpark through a quaint pathway of coastal sand dunes with short trees and shrubs on either side that was home to... 更多
Nice walk up Barren joey Head from Palm Beach. Take water if warm as it is up hill. Lighthouse undergoing renovations so was closed for tours. Very scenic views.
Such stunning views all the way up & down. Once at the top, it's breath taking. Well worth the walk up. Home & Away cast sure do have amazing place to work!
Nice short hike to exercise your legs and to see some amazing views. I would suggest doing it early in the day so you can have the place relatively to yourself. Also take the short way up and the long way down so you get to see all the views from as many angles as possible.
