I really enjoyed the agricultural exhibit on wine making in Italy. The authentic historic equipment was very nice. I also enjoyed the military artifacts from WW2 beach landings at Anzio and the fight for Monte Casino. There where real sherman tanks and all types of America, Italian, and German military hardware. i enjoyed it very much.
The museum is housed in two rows of old airfield hangars and has two main themes. One side tells the story of the local farming area and the other row tells of Italy's involvement in WW2. The dioramas are well done with many great artifacts in great condition. The history of the war seems very accurate and honestly admitting Italy's... 更多
When my cousin suggested a visit, we agreed because it seemed so important to him. I've never seen a museum such as this. The first of over twelve garage-like buildings had a collection of old toys which we probably spent over an hour looking at and remembering. Then we went into the other buildings. The explanations of how Mussolini had... 更多
We were in Anzio Museum and the guide told us to go to piana . We really werent expecting much, in Rome most of the museums are closed ,only available for few hours or at one day. This is a fabulous museum, it is well laid out, with 2 main areas of interest, agricultural and Second World War. There is something for everyone here. I am not a museum fan but we spent over 5 hours here and we weren't bored! The cost is e12 for an adult.
This was the most unusual museum we encountered on our trip. We are WW2 buffs and go out of our way to visit the National Cemeteries when we are travelling. This was a tour we did on purpose - paid a private guide to drive us from Sorrento to Anzio with a stop at this museum. We're driving in the... 更多
We'd read reviews and expected the museum to be interesting .... it was extremely so. The 13 large sheds are divided into rooms with life sized scenes as well as artefacts. There are information boards all the way round in Italian, English and German. There are also audio explanations in most rooms, although so heavily accented that we could only... 更多
