A great, clean beach on which to walk the dog and kids and get some bracing sea air in December! The tea room in Mappleton is a quaint place to stop off afterwards for a refreshing cuppa to warm you up.
Lovely beach. Parking can be abit restrictive. This is sandy to one side, and pebbly to the other. On the sandy side watch the tide as it comes in quite quickly. The coast here does suffer from erosion. Ideal for families, and couples.
Now living in South Yorkshire but Coming from the west coast of Scotland I need my fix of fresh sea air on a semi regular basis, also as a dog owner I need somewhere dog friendly.
This has it all.
Free car park, reasonable toilet facility and occasional ice cream van tick all the boxes.

Absolutely love this beach! Came here for a BBQ in summer as it is usually very quiet with hardly and visitors unlike other more popular beaches in the area.
Stunning views and lots of sand which is comfortable so sit on! Rocky areas are located in the sea so be careful when swimming!
Having mainly stuck to visiting Bridlington beach in recent years we decided to try somewhere different. Bridlington is perfectly fine but gets so crowded it makes a short visit less enjoyable.
