We visited Braemore in mid July on a Tuesday. We had visited before to use the tea room for a light lunch and started this visit in the same way. The two ladies in the tea rooms were both very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed a Panini and salad with a cup of coffee. This was freshly prepared and reasonably... 更多
We went on the 2pm guided tour & our guide was very informative & easy to listen to. The house is easy to get round & the size of the guided tour groups is kept to a manageable number. We then had a cup of tea outside in the tea room, again nice place to have a visit.
Eight ladies enjoyed a superb afternoon of history. On arrival, we had wonderful coffee and cake in the tea room, and later delicious sandwiches and filled jacket potatoes for lunch. The 3 ladies serving, were charming and very helpful. The beautiful church was a joy to spend time in. It's a short walk from the tearoom. Our booked afternoon tour... 更多
This is the best guided tour of a property that we have had. Bob, the tour guide was really knowledgeable and his enthusiasm for the property and its contents was truly inspiring. The House is only open in the afternoons and by timed guided tours. Photography is not allowed in the house as there is some wonderful antique furniture on... 更多
Visited on a Groupon deal with my wife on Tuesday afternoon. Started in the museum, very interesting and you go through various buildings to see different things. There are reconstructed shops, small thatched cottage, farm machinery, an old Austin Seven and various motorcycles. The thing that interested us most was the Four Train Turret Clock with a 14' pendulum which... 更多
A truly lovely place to visit for all the family. Very very friendly & helpful staff the little T room was wonderful & not too expensive. The museum was very interesting & very well detailed. The tore was very interesting but not too sure for young children. The whole day was wonderful & somewhere I would go back to.
Took my parents for an afternoon visit and had a very enjoyable time. We did give the house a miss as my parents had been there before and, as an avid newbie photographer, I couldn't take pictures inside it. Instead we had a leisurely walk round the church and it's lovely graveyard followed by a very interesting look round the... 更多
Very let down today that it cost us £9 for two adults to wonder around a so called fete/craft fare that was absolutely diabolical and took all of 2minutes to walk around.. Would've loved to have the guts to demand our money back.. Feeling extremely angry and totally ripped off!! Please feel free to get In contact to reimburse our... 更多
The tour round the house was very poor. Overcrowded and could not hear the guide. Impossible to pass comments to friends during the tour even though we kept at the back and was very upset when an old lady kept shussing people. Also much to fast. The museum was excellent.
We were going to go into the house but the price of £9.50 a head was too much for us so we decided to go into the tea room for a toasted sandwich. Inside was very basic but the lack of decent chairs didn't help as when the lunch arrived 10 minutes after our coffee we were graced with a... 更多
