I have been there on numerous times and never get tired. Fab place. We have taken friends from as far as South Africa there and they have enjoyed it.
This is the place where the airmen (& women ) who fought to enable us to be able to live as we are. The quality of the guided presentation was excellent as the aircraft , one of whom actually fault in the Battle of Britainwere in good shape. All except the Lancaster which was having its fuel tanks replaced and... 更多
Had a very nice day at the flight centre. Had a wonderful tour guide who told us everything about the aircraft. Really nice to see the planes up close. Parked in the nearby carpark afterwards to watch the typhoons go by. Very interesting day out.
Was unsure on what to expect here but was really surprised how interesting this was. The guide (James?) brought to life the displays with a multitude of stories that really added so much to what would otherwise had been just an interesting look at a few planes. We spent 1 3/4 hours on the tour, every bit of it interesting.
I visited 'The Battle of Britain' Memorial Flight on Monday 14th March with my Partner and 2 year old Niece. We'd been staying at 'Tattershall Lakes Park' and noticed this whilst on a ride out. Both me and my partner are interested in War Planes, and just the War in general, so we thought we'd find this quite interesting. We... 更多
We were visiting nearby Tattershall Castle (see separate review) when we saw fighter jets flying overhead, followed by several fly pasts of a WWII Dakota! We were impressed and then discovered that the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Museum was just a short drive away. What a remarkable visit that turbned out to be. There are regular guided tours lasting... 更多
Thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Guides were very knowledgeable and pointed out lots of interesting facts about the planes. Never been so close to a Spitfire before. Visit was made even better by an impromptu performance by a jet plane doing various spins and acrobatic maneuvers.
Loved that the guides were all pilots, many of whom flew the old planes and are clearly very passionate about them. They were able to add so much more history and personal stories to the the tour. Fantastic visit, well worth the small entry fee and a cafe to get lunch. Could have spent hours watching the planes taking off... 更多
We arrived and booked a guided tour (as recommended to us) which was taking place in ten minutes time. Our guide was Tony who escorted us to the hangar where the vintage planes were being worked on. Tony is full of information and has many stories to tell about each individual plane which brings the whole thing to life and... 更多
He had a wonderful few hours there. The guide very informative just a shame he said that most of the planes were being worked on. But he did see two planes take off and he said it a great place to visit.
