George Hanson, the owner, has done a great job with the construction of the caves to house his wine casks as well as creating an unusual dining room where they host wine pairing dinners 4 times a year. We bought two bottles of their wine after tasting both. It was a good stop. The only thing that was not worth... 更多
I bought tickets to a dining in the caves event. The food was absolutely amazing and all the other guests were very nice to dine with. Everything was great except the owner charged us to do a tour of the caves. Half hour before we were about to start diner, he did the same tour. He knew we were there... 更多
Cawston wineries are not the best in the Okanagan region. Seven Stones is one of the better ones. Their wines are above average - try the Merlot. The caves are really impressive but the $20 fee per person is rather excessive. Half that it will be just about right. Still, I do recommend a visit.
We recently visited the Seven Stones Winery. As we were driving down the highway, the "Visit the Caves" sign lured us in. Don't be fooled! The cave tour is not worth the $7 per person they charge to view them. The cave tour should be shown free of charge to help convince you to buy their bland, boring, overpriced wine.... 更多
This relatively new winery has made a name on the international level. Their wines are top shelf all the way. George has it figured out. Take the tour of the caves. Scratch Benny (the winery dog) behind an ear and he'll follow you anywhere. Most importantly, don't buy just one bottle.. Two is a minimum. One to drink, the other... 更多
Before the VQA wine museum shop in Kelowna closed at the end of 2015, we purchased 10 bottles of Seven Stones Pinot Noir. We had made a purchase of a single bottle previously and very much enjoyed the wine. Out of those 10 bottles, two of them have been completely undrinkable. Rotten, foul, dump it down the drain kind of... 更多
Travel down the path and you'll find tasting room for Seven Stones. Beautiful views and good wine will make this spot well worth the trip. We went for the Cab Franc and the Pinot Noir. Of all the wines purchased, this Franc was the favourite in the area.
Off the beaten track, but worth the visit. The owner, George, has literally put heart and soul into building a vineyard and setting up a winery that produces upper class wines. No exaggeration. Part of the recipe for success is in ageing the wine in an underground bunker, with background music... Go. You won't be disappointed.
The winery was nice and the wine itself was perfectly fine (though nothing extraordinary). The owner talked up the "cave"... 更多
