Great walk along the river Wharfe from old Bolton Bridge passing the Bolton Abbey, the Cavendish Pavilion where you can either go along the river to the Strid and the Barden bridge; or, you can turn right up to the hill and visit the Valley of Desolation and Simon's Seat. You will be amazed by the landscape beauty as well... 更多
A beautiful day out that only the weather in England could make more magical. The Abbey (like most in England) is hauntingly beautiful and the river crossing stones were quite an added adventure. Get outside, get to the water, get to Bolton Abbey and get ready for over-Instagramming.
Love this place. One of the first places I went to with my husband. Love returning for walks around here. Sights are stunning. Abbey is attractive. Can be quite busy but its a big enough place. Car parking is expensive though £8 per car!! The high walk isn't suitable for older people or children who can't walk far. The river... 更多

We parked at the Abbey Tearoom car park and walked to Barden Bridge. We then walked up the valley of desolation which was beautiful. The walk to Barden bridge is a lovely walk along well laid out paths suitable for everyone with a reasonable level of fitness from young children to more elderly people. Lovely café or take a picnic... 更多

The walk is easy and many children and older people manage quite well. It took about 30min to reach the Abbey. Most people wear walking boots/shoes but we were... 更多
It is a perfect place to relax, have a scenic walk, and a hot cup of coffee next to singing river.... Best part of the walk is, if you are with small kids you can take the stroller along with you as the walking track is wide enough, if that makes sense lol
