Good parking above this wild rocky coast. A steep walk down, then swim in one of the lovely pools (changing rooms provided). Above, sit on the terrace of a bar/cafe and eat delicious fresh fish. We had the sardines- some of the best we've tasted. A great overall experience on this special island.
We visited on one October day, rather late in the afternoon. Except for us, there were maybe 3 people, so I felt like in a private pool. Transparent water in truly beautiful surroundings, this is what it is. Go, people, go!
Wow this was fantastic with its seapool well worth for that relaxing day from all excursions .bring with you drinks and some sandwiches to make the perfect day out . Only 30 min drive from Santa Cruz De La Palma
Visited in early July and we had a great time, Charco Azul is a couple of man made rock pools that are pumped with fresh seawater. The pools are deep and really clear, we had a great time swimming and jumping into the rock pools, overall one of the best activities on the island.
This is a typical Canarian sea water rock pool experience. Swimming is possible but beware of weather and high tide - it can get quite lively as it's head on to the Atlantic!
It's a great little walk from here to the pretty village, very well kept and there is a lovely little cafe at Charcoal Azul where you can...
