La Gomera is a lush green island and still the laurisilva or laurel forest surprised. There is a magical feel and the climate is cooler and moist. For a person who suffers from nasal dryness it was easier to breath. The heaths were tall trees, not pot plans I've used to see. Wow! There is a small bar, Restaurante La... 更多
This is a visitor centre for the park - right in the very centre. Wonderful - reflects the whole island - tranquil and beautiful. Food was good and not over priced - when I ordered roasted chicken I did not expect to get a whole "spatulated" one for 9.5e!! The natural beauty of the park is wonderful.
I was looking forward to seeing the laurisilva forest as I had seen pictures and paintings of it in San Sebastian. But so much of the forest was destroyed by fire in 2012. We stumble across La Laguna Grande by accident, however we had expected there to be water until we read the fact sheets. We found it to be very interesting and nicely laid out for children

The visitor centre also helped with its multilingual displays of the history and the natural history of the island and its unique central rainforest. There... 更多
Most of the time you cannot expect a great view as it is cloudy but the walk is great anyway. Unfortunately you will see what the great fire has left in 2012.
We took a tour from Tenerife to La Gomera Island and were treated to a very informative day and once up in amongst the giant Erica's (heathers) and ancient laurel trees it seemed to be a different world, we then went for lunch which was a bit bland but the demonstration of the whistling language was impressive and very encouraging... 更多
We could appreciate the attractions of Laguna Grande for the circular walks and the picnic area and as a break from driving on the endlessly winding roads, however when we arrived the already busy car park had just received up to 20 or so Landrovers on an island safari disgorging another 80 or some people. And this was a Monday... 更多
This picnic spot was a convenient break from driving on very winding roads which always seem to have a sheer drop on one side or the other! There were basic facilities, loos, coffee shop etc. and it was the starting point for a couple of walks. We followed the shorter one of around 5k. Parking was free and, if you... 更多
