Took the one day bus trip from Kanazawa. Only have 20 mins here. But the view was great. One of the better attractions for the day trip. It would have been nice to spend at least an hour here slowly take in the view and stroll down the rice field. With 20 mins can Only take a quick peak an... 更多
Stop and have a quick look if you are passing anyway, but certainly don't take a taxi from Waijima specially - it's much further than it looks on the map and a cab costs a fortune.
We enjoyed visiting these terraces especially for the combination of the rice fields and the sea. We have seen rice terraces in Vietnam and China. This one is not comparable to Sapa in Vietnam or the ones in Chaina, still it is a nice site.
As previous person wrote, mid April probably was not the best season for this rice hill. OK, some sections were really spectacular, but some 60% of the area was just steady green hill, nothing special to see. But the whole coastline of Noto is worth driving thru and stopping every now and then. And photoes tell sometimes this place looks... 更多
Since I haven't seen the rice terraces in my home country (Philippines) I was really interested to see this place. This was part of our 2D/1N Noto tour package. the rice paddy field are nicely situated by the seaside which made the whole place feel special and different from the usual rice fields. the scale of it is not that impressive though as it is pretty small compared to those I've seen in other countries like Vietnam. this place close to wajima too. will be a good side trip.
Unfortunately we have visited here in the end of March, when there is no rice growing. However, the scenery is agnificent and, it is remarkable to see paddies so close to sea shore. Waves of Japan Sea almost reach to the puddy.
If you are passing through the area, stop and take a look at these terraced rice fields. Otherwise, if you have seen them in Indonesia or China or elsewhere, it is not worth the while to spend more than an hour from Wakura Onsen.
Recognised officially as a 'Place of Scenic Beauty' since 2001 in January, the place thrives with people all over coming to see the beauty of the bright green rice fields and also the blue sea that it faces. Because of it's unique layers, Senmaida has a scenic 3D look to it - making it even more breathtaking and real. Since... 更多
