After paying the 1000yen and entering the Silk Mill we had discovered that we had been tricked. The Silk Mill is a Silk Mill but it's not a tourist attraction. My favourite was when the 200yen audio guide (and free map) referenced the 'cocoon drying facility' that was not there! The sign was there - no building. I'm not sure... 更多
This is by far the worst Unesco world heritage that I have visited. Most of the buildings are not accessible for the public and there are no English descriptions or brochures. How can the ¥1000 entrance fee be justified for walking around the grounds which takes less than 30 minutes? A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!
