This was a beautiful, fun stop! You can do a quick rock scramble ascent to get a beautiful scenic view, or you can do one of two hiking paths to get to the falls. One is a 300 ft descent over a quarter mile, the other is a 3/4 mile flat walk. Just lovely!
Bash Bish Falls is a lovely place to visit. Take the New York entrance for nice cardio hike to the falls. My daughter and I spent a great time checking out the brook next to the hike, looking at the frogs, fish and rocks. The walk is not to bad and it is very enjoyable. When we got to the... 更多
It's great hiking place for beginner or solo hiker, short walk from parking lot to the falls. Beautiful surrounding, I had great time, just staying in front of the fall and enjoying the sounds, and breezy.
Stopped w/friends as passing through area. First we climbed up from MA lot for scenic view. Quick walk up STEEP rocks but easy enough. Then we headed down the trail to the falls. Trails were easy to follow. Beautiful once you get down there. Clear water and the stream leading away is also gorgeous.
Beautiful views more than one path so be careful which you choose. As the billy goat path we used was fun yet steep and not for any one with any walking issues. Later I heard there are bear in the area. We saw no such thing. Also there is talk there are rattle snakes which we did not know about... 更多
My daughter and I love taking the short hike in to the falls. We usually park at the lower parking area, the trail from there to the falls is longer, but the climb is less drastic than from the upper lot. The falls are breathtakingly beautiful!!! Always a go to in the summer and gorgeous in the fall!!
You can just come for the beautiful waterfalls or combine it with a great hike. Come with your friends, family, or come by yourself. You can't do wrong in this gorgeous spot!
The falls area straddles two states (NY & MA) and has parking lots in both states. The roads to the falls are rural and a bit tricky. Hike is under a mile one way and is wide and well marked. Recent rain gave the falls a good bit of water. Nice diversion if you are in the area.
The falls themselves were a little more than a trickle when I was there in mid September. That was after a few dry days so keep that in mind - it is probably much better in the wet season. Was also very crowded, but, again, probably depends on the season. What was spectacular was the trail over and around the... 更多
