We hiked Bash Bish Falls on recommendation of the hotel. It was a great recommendation. Beautiful area - hike was perfect for family. There are two entrances to falls - the MA entrance is shorter but is a very steep descent with stairs. The NY entrance is longer but a slow steady climb - easy for my husband and kids... 更多
Who would think that there would be a beautiful 60 foot (or more) waterfall which drops into a clear pool and then continues to descend along a rock and boulder stream all the way to the parking lot. We parked on the NY side. A definite must if you are in the area. A relatively mild, 25 minute walk up... 更多
Went on the 4th of July, parked at the Mass side and hiked down the path, a little trecherous but fun. Going during the week would prob have been nicer. Many people there due to the holiday. Falls are nice, even with the low rainfall that we have had. If you are not in good shape I advise parking at... 更多
Bash Bish falls is a charming place to visit. Be aware that there is a 1.5 easy hike from the NY side and a 1 mile more adventurous hike from the MA side. For true adventure climb up to the top of the fall but that's not really an approved hike so if a ranger sees you they will send... 更多
Great place to relax during the walk and seeing the Falls. Swimming in the pool at the base is allowed but access is somewhat tricky. You should be in decent shape to make the uphill walk to the Falls which is 3/4 of a mile perhaps.
I've gone to this attraction two times now. If you want a tough but fun hike, park on the Massachusetts side of the falls and take that trail. If you want a leisurely hike, park on the New York side of the falls. Go early during the week for a break in the people. I went 9 am on a... 更多
We went here for my daughter's birthday. A beautiful day. But so crowded on an early Saturday afternoon. We enjoyed our picnic in the shade of the falls, and it was really nice. The walk up from the New York side was easy with a gentle uphill grade. Only downside was the sheer number of people who were there, making... 更多
As others have said, there are two parking areas. We parked on the NY side. It was a decent uphill climb on a relatively clear path up to the falls. From what I could tell, there were stairs through the woods down to falls from the Mass side.
